Background
Philips Innovations is looking for Brain Power among internal and external Philips co-workers. A global contest is put down; everyone within Philips World Wide can put his or her idea into this contest. And Yes we won.....

Different Idea’s for the same problem are looked at; this time Philips Design is one of the few business units in need of an innovative solution for their Experience Flow Boards.
Experience Flow Boards
An experience flow shows a customer journey that helps us to understand people, their situations and context of their needs at different times and levels.
Experience flows are generally used in workshops where people try to find opportunities in the customer journey for bringing product innovations and/or improving the customer journey.
The Contest
Ideas of co-workers are done in spare time, and measured again viability and innovations.
The contest consists of a public vote and a demonstration for the Dragon's Den.
Winning this contest gives you a certificate, saying that you are a true Innovator within Philips, signed by Philips Chief Information Officer Jeroen Tas and Philips Director Global IT Innovations Thibaut Sevestre.
Our Solution
Our solution is based on Microsoft Technologies as Philips currently holds the strategy "Microsoft Unless". Building a solution with this in mind, Windows Phone 7, Windows Azure, WCF 4.0, WPF4.0, Silverlight/C# and the .NET Framework are the common denominators.

Our idea involves an online, browser based desktop, interacting with any device over the internet. It can be described by the following teaser:
The Experience Flow Board is an Inspirational, Highly visual, Online Collaboration system where information can be shared “live”, completely integrated with modern technology, like your smartphone, tablet, Surface table or multi-touch monitor.
The App Solution
Create a picture, add info to your content card, info card and data cards and SWIPE it to you Browser Based Environment? Wouldn’t that be cool and highly innovative?

The Browser/Desktop Solution
But experience flows continue to be static visualizations of people knowledge that remains difficult to capture, visualize and maintain with up to date information in a database. Remove paper, get digital and dynamic and fly thru the Experiences of you customer.

Future Plans
Future versions of our idea could easily incorporate technologies as Cloud Hosting, Augmented Reality, Live Optical Character Recognition and Kinect Movement Detection, making the creation of Experience Flows more natural and human friendly. Some of your team members have already some experience programming the Kinect device, for sliding PowerPoint Presentations. Below you will see the effect of using Kinect in real life applications.
